Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Stick, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you already have an account, your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance. If you don't agree, please don't use Stick.

2. The service

Stick is a music listening history tracker operated by Not a Soul, a partnership based in the UK. We let you import, log, and explore your personal listening history. We provide the service as-is and may change, improve, or remove features over time. We'll give you reasonable notice before any material changes or shutdown.

3. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Stick. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure — don't share your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, let us know at contact@stick.tools and change your sign-in method via Settings immediately.

4. Your data

Your listening history belongs to you. We use it solely to generate your personal stats, charts, and recommendations — we don't sell it, share it with third parties for their own purposes, or use it to build profiles for advertising beyond what's described in our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete all of your data at any time via Settings.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Stick to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute our service or its data in bulk without our written permission.
• Upload or submit content that is unlawful, harmful, or that violates anyone else's rights.
• Interfere with the operation of the service or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Third-party content

Metadata displayed in Stick — artist names, album titles, track information, and cover art — comes from community databases including MusicBrainz and Cover Art Archive. We display this content for your convenience but we don't own it. All intellectual property rights remain with the respective rights holders.

7. Advertising

Stick does not currently show ads. If we introduce advertising in the future to help cover hosting costs, Pro subscribers will never see ads, and we'll update these terms and our Privacy Policy with the details, including how to control ad personalisation.

8. No warranty

Stick is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that the service will meet your specific requirements. We strongly recommend using Settings → Export to keep your own backup of your listening history.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Not a Soul's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these terms or the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim. For users on the free tier, this means our liability is limited to £0. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated via a notice in the app. Your continued use of Stick after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
